STORM BREWING IN THE EAST: KUALA TERENGGANU: The palace announced the surprise appointment of Datuk Ahmad Said as menteri besar yesterday as all but two of the Barisan Nasional assemblymen in the state declared their support for incumbent Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh. In a statement to Bernama, the office of the Sultan of Terengganu said the swearing-in was to take place at the Istana Tamu at 8am today, which the 22 newly-elected assemblymen told a press conference they would not attend.
