Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has given his assurance that business-friendly policies will continue. He also said his priority is to form the cabinet.
Abdullah said the federal government will:
Ø continue with policies that have been announced
Ø implement projects planned and announced earlier, including those in opposition-held states
Ø proceed with the Second Penang Bridge project
Ø work with governments in states held by the opposition for the good of the people
Ø speed up implementation of promised projects
Ø create more opportunities for people to earn additional income
Ø think up incentives to further boost investor confidence

Barisan govt to maintain business-friendly ways PUTRAJAYA: The Barisan Nasional government will continue its business-friendly policies, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said. He said it was even prepared to offer further incentives to attract more foreign direct investments.
Abdullah said the BN government, despite having won only a simple majority in last week's general election, "will look after their (people's) interests".Abdullah said the priority now was to form a new cabinet to reassure the investment community of Malaysia's political situation and ensure they have confidence in the country.
