Waves of expectations running high

HOT, HOT, IN PENANG

THE battle is on for the hearts and minds of Penang voters. Some of the hottest election tussles are expected in the state.
Heavyweights from the ruling coalition, led by the prime minister, hit the campaign trail yesterday to ensure victory for Barisan Nasional.
There are 14 hot seats in the state. Seven crucial seats will be hotly contested on mainland.

ELECTION 2008: Big guns blitz Penang - GEORGE TOWN: The big guns from Barisan Nasional, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, were in town yesterday for a day-long blitz, a congregation billed as the heavyweight campaign trail. With just five more days to go to polling, yesterday's visit by the BN leaders is a clear indication of their seriousness in securing victory for the ruling coalition in Penang.
